Which Way? (PDF Download)

$8.00

A single-player, self-contained, ultra-portable, dungeon-drawing, zine game

Description

Which Way? is a solo mini-RPG dungeon crawler in which you map your path through an unknown labyrinth. You’ll encounter menacing foes, treasure, and maybe your own inner demons.

(Also available printed)

I wanted to make a game that is so small you can put it in your pocket. It’s discrete enough you can play it in the waiting room at the dentist.

The game components are super minimal. The only necessary components are a pen (or pencil), the game book, and a D12 (or D12 simulator on your phone).

While designed as a solo game, your kids may enjoy joining the adventure and rolling some dice.  This has been play tested and is fun!

I didn’t know what a zine was, but I made this last year and then discovered the whole zine subculture and thought I’d give Zine Quest a shot!

Details

The PDF includes one page of rules, one page of extra (optional) rules, one page of flavor tables to spice things up, and three sets of gameplay pages. The gameplay pages are lookup tables on top, map drawing on the bottom.

The zine is three 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of paper booklet folded and stapled to contain 12 total pages. If you fill your pages with maps, just print another copy or use scrap paper.
